Shipping policy
All orders ship from our Monsoon Chocolate shipping hub in Truth or Consequences, New Mexico. Each shipment is packed by hand with materials chosen to protect the chocolate during transit. At times, certain items may ship from our Tucson factory depending on production needs, but our packing and handling standards remain consistent.
The climate in southern New Mexico allows us to extend our safe shipping window in early summer and early fall. It also makes it possible to use fewer packaging materials throughout the year while still keeping products secure.
Warm weather can still affect shipping conditions. We use insulated packaging and ice packs when needed, with the goal of keeping chocolate below 70°F (21°C) in transit whenever possible.
We generally ship Monday and Tuesday through USPS or UPS to help prevent packages from sitting in transit over the weekend. During stretches of high heat, we may delay shipments briefly to ensure safer travel conditions. If you need an order by a specific date, please reach out. We will do our best to help, understanding that delivery times are set by the carrier once a package leaves our facility.
During summer months, all orders ship via expedited service through UPS or USPS Express. Each package is packed in a deluxe insulated liner with cold packs designed to maintain safe temperatures in transit. Orders generally arrive within 4-10 days of ordering.
Our materials balance protection with environmental responsibility. Boxes and ice packs are reusable, and our packing peanuts dissolve in water.
We encourage customers to track their packages and bring them indoors promptly after delivery. Chocolate is most vulnerable after it arrives, especially if left outside or in a mailbox. While we cannot replace orders damaged due to post-delivery exposure, we will always review transit concerns with care. If something goes wrong during shipping, please contact us at fulfillment@monsoonchocolate.com.
At this time, we are unable to ship to PO boxes or APO addresses.
