Shipping Policy

Our factory is located in Tucson, Arizona in the Sonoran Desert. The summertime temperatures can exceed 115 F (46 C). This can be a challenging environment to make chocolate and an even greater challenge to ship from. After much experience, we have chosen materials that will ensure orders make it out of the Arizona heat. The goal is to keep the chocolate below 70 F (21 C) at all times. 

We typically ship Monday-Wednesday via UPS, FedEx, or USPS. We will not ship any later in the week in an effort to protect the quality of your purchase (we don’t want your chocolate melting in a hot warehouse over the weekend).  There may be delays in shipping during the summer due to the local temperatures in Tucson. If you are hoping to receive your order within a specific time frame, please email us. We will do our best to help you out, but please remember we cannot control what happens when the package leaves our hands. 

We charge regional flat rates for shipping based on location of delivery. During the summer, this flat rate includes a surcharge to cover deluxe insulation, additional ice packs, and upgraded express shipping. The summer flat rate ranges from $28-36. 

We try to use the most environmentally sustainable materials as possible without compromising the quality of our products. Some of the necessary materials, especially for summer shipping, are not biodegradable. The box and ice packs are reusable and the eco packing peanuts dissolve in water.

We wish that we had control over the package from the moment it leaves the factory to the moment it arrives at your door, but unfortunately once it’s out of our hands, it’s out of our hands. We encourage you to actively track your order, and make plans to receive it. The most common way that chocolate melts during transit is actually after delivery –– when it sits on a doorstep in direct sunlight or when it hangs out in a metal mailbox. This is why it is super important you are there to receive your package! We can’t be held responsible for a delivery that melts due to poor planning or time management.

Return Policy

Due to the perishable nature of our products, we cannot accept returns. If you find that your order is not up to par, please contact us.
